Hello and welcome to my web-site!

Although we are now a few weeks into the new year, the 2024 calendars are still available!  There are a few shops still with stock, but the best way to buy is on-line, either via Amazon,, or buy direct from the publisher: Cardtoons  –  www.cardtoons.co.uk

As usual, pride of place goes to the Wordsworth’s Lake District calendar, which is now in it’s 25th year!

Wordsworth’s Lake District Calendar 2024 front cover

This year the cover is the Langdale Pikes from Blea Tarn.  Other locations included inside are Buttermere, Grasmere, Derwent Water, Windermere, Coniston Water and, of course, daffodils at Ullswater.

This year’s range of calendars include the slim Appointment Calendar, the mini Desk Calendar and, in a new format, the Lake District Panoramas Calendar.  More details for all of these, and where to buy, can be found by clicking on the Calendars tab above.

Lake District Guidebook

Also again available this year is the new Lake District Photo-Guidebook.  This booklet features many of my very best views of the Lake District that have been published in my calendars over the last few years, together with new views taken specially for this publication.  The Photoguide covers all the popular areas of this stunning landscape (Windermere, Grasmere, Coniston, Derwent Water, Buttermere, Ullswater etc) but there’s more!  The Photoguide is backed-up by online content covering the whole of the Lake District.  This is accessed through the QR code published in the guidebook – perfect for anyone on the move.

As with my calendars, the Photoguide is available in a wide range of shops across the Lake District, but can also be bought online direct from the publishers, Cardtoons Ltd, as well as through Amazon and ebay.  I hope you all love it and find it really useful, and I would love to hear from you what you think!

Here are some of the covers from my calendars from previous years:

For anyone looking for inspiration about walking in the Lake District, please have a look at my pages on THE WAINWRIGHTS.  There are 8 pages here about the Lakeland Fells, or “The Wainwrights” as they are often known.  If you want to see lots of photos of the stunning mountain landscape of The Lake District, click this link or use the menu bar above for The Wainwrights: http://alexblacklandscape.co.uk/the-wainwrights/

To view more of my photos, please look in the Galleries pages: there is already lots to see for the Lake District (Mountains, Tarns, Stone Circles and of course the Lakes), and I have also started putting photos on for the Yorkshire Dales, Snowdonia, Anglesey and Dorset’s Jurassic Coast.  Please click on the Galleries tab above and use the drop-down menus to navigate.

Daffodils at Wordsworth Point, Ullswater

I have been down to south Devon a couple of times in the last few years, and got some great photos of Dartmoor and the coast; I’ll be putting some of these up in the galleries over the next couple of weeks, here are a couple….
